Where is true joy to be found these days?
The famous saying "A dog is for life, not just for Christmas” (Dog's Trust, 1978) highlights the problem of cute puppies being abandoned once the turkey goes cold. What about joy? Is it fleeting, or eternal? Can we conjure it up? (And does the Christmas rush do that for you?!)
If joy runs deeper than happiness, perhaps its source springs up in response to a precious and lasting gift... and if we confidently believe the gift is on its way, could some joy reach us ahead of its arrival?
Come along to this totally free, informal, all-ages event, to be re-energised by joy, and to share it with others! It will include mulled wine, seasonal creative activities, musical master Mike Fawcett sharing originals and arrangements, and a time of praise and worship...
This is an invitation-only celebration - and you can certainly invite people! Ideally we want everyone there to know at least one other person in the room, but space is finite and we need to keep track of numbers. So if you're planning to attend yourself, feel free to think about others who might like to join you, then invite them by giving them the link to this webpage.
Please confirm your own attendance by emailing events@edwinfawcett.com, or by contacting Edwin directly.
