M E R C Y
Ready to start over?
At work or in relationships, we've probably all experienced the inadequacy of surface-level change when a deeper renewal is needed - perhaps the difference between a quick wipe down versus a deep spring clean? And who remembers following something akin to this script in childhood:
Parent/teacher: Just say sorry [to your sibling/peer]!
You: Ugh! Why should I!?
Parent/teacher: Just SAY IT!
You: Sor-REEE!
Parent/teacher: Say it again - and this time, like you mean it!
You: [with a deep sigh, rolling eyes, crossed fingers and sulky expression] Sorry.
[Moments later, misbehaviour continues, possibly even more "advanced" than before] 😂😂😂
What does it take to give grace when we're riled up - in both communication AND action? Then what about receiving mercy? Sometimes that seems even harder, and we can be the worst misers towards ourselves. But there is a Way!
Come along to this totally free, informal, all-ages event, where we'll get cracking by refusing to wallpaper over the cracks! It will include Easter cocktails/mocktails, music from our special guest Chukwuemeka, creative fun and an extended time of praise and worship... sound like an unusual mix? Find out a bit more here.
This is an invitation-only celebration, and will be the penultimate Eighth Day event before our final event on June 14th. If you're reading this then you are invited - and you can certainly invite others! Ideally we want everyone there to know at least one other person in the room, but space is finite and we need to keep track of numbers. So if you're planning to attend yourself, feel free to think about others who might like to join you, then invite them by giving them the link to this webpage.
Our event is "bring and share" - so if you'd like to eat, or drink something other than Easter cocktails/mocktails or hot drinks, please bring drinks, snacks and ready-to-eat food with you to share!
Date: Sunday 12th April 2026
Time: 5pm start - don't be late! - programme ends by 7pm
Cost: free to attend, but donations on the night (to cover costs and fund future events) will be gratefully received
