What's it like receiving a gift you don't want or need? How much does that depend on who the giver is?
In the rush towards Christmas, our deepest wishes, desires and needs can sometimes be drowned out - by the "noise" of busy preparations, early celebrations, relentless advertising, and the pressure for perfection.
Perhaps the focus on seeing loved ones, sharing food and giving gifts reveals something of where our hearts are at. But the reality can end up more stressful than blissful!
This December, would you benefit from some breathing space, to ask "What do I really want?" - and to build expectation that it will come to meet you?
If so, come and join us at this free, informal all-ages event! It will include mulled wine, hot chocolate, a live performance from the amazing Ela Kalicka, a time of praise and worship, and a surprise creative activity...
This is an invitation-only celebration - and you can invite people. We want everyone there to know at least one other person in the room, but space is finite and we need to keep track of numbers. So feel free to think about others who might like to join you, if you're planning to attend yourself, then invite them by giving them the link to this webpage.
Please confirm your own attendance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by contacting Edwin directly. However, please do not share the below information publicly (e.g. on social media channels or via a messaging broadcast list).
Date: Sunday 10th December 2023
Time: please note - earlier than usual - 2pm start (don't be late!) - programme ends by 4pm
Cost: free to attend, but donations on the night (to cover costs and fund future events) will be gratefully received
Venue: please note - different venue from previous events - London Jesuit Centre, 114 Mount St, London W1K 3AH
It's a few mins walk from two stations: Green Park (Jubilee, Victoria, Piccadilly lines) and Bond Street (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth lines).
If you'd like to eat or drink something other than mulled wine or hot drinks, please bring things to share! There are Tesco, M&S and Sainsbury's between Green Park station and the venue.
